National D-Day Memorial
Located in Bedford, Virginia, the community suffering the highest per capita D-Day losses in the Nation, the National D-Day Memorial honors the Allied forces that participated in the invasion of Normandy on June 6, 1944 during World War II.

The National D-Day Memorial is open daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM except for Monday closings December through February. Closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, and Thanksgiving Day. The Memorial closes at noon on New Year’s Eve. Other periodic closings are possible due to systems maintenance and inclement weather. Please call 540-587-3619 to check the operational status.
